Guys I need some help. I found an adapter that fits into the drain plug that a ram mount can be put on it. That way a transducer can be mounted on it. The only place I have seen it talked bout is in Australia. Here is a pic of it:

Has anyone seen these and if so do u know where to buy em at.

That looks like some custom machined stuff, may try a machine shop.

I would be very hesitant to install one and would be really surprised if they go retail. They offer a great liability to the sellers. The length added by the stand-off adds leverage to any incidental hit it takes. The plastic is not intended to be structural like that and the prying motion of incidental impact can, and will, literally pull your "plug".

Maybe I am just clumsy, but I hit my transducer on a regular basis.

Good luck if you go with it, Phill

A ram mount is mounted to this so if the mount comes in contact with anything it swings up and out of the way. Here is a video showing it. Fast forward to 1:40

I'm liking the idea of having the transducer mounted out the back and out of the way. The only thing in not thrilled about is using the threads of the drain hole to support much weight.
I think mounting it from the back handle with some gear trac might be a nice option.

Shaun I agree but I don't think it will be much weight added. I would actually like to see the threads alittle long that way u could put a piece of sheet metal on the inside and a nut on it as well. That way it would add some stability to it.
