I am taking my neighbor out on Wednesday to Decker. He has a 14 year old and an 11 year old. I noticed that there is no junior record for many species, including buffs and carp, even channel cats, which we have been catching there recently. I hope to get them hooked by getting them a water body record and catch and release record for something!

What better way to get kids hooked on fishing?

So, if any of yall are hitting Decker Wednesday, can I ask that I "reserve" the spot near the boat dock?

The best way to get them hooked on fishing is to get them catching. Records are fine, but catching lots of fish keep them coming back for more!

This is true! Although one or 2 of these giants would be awesome as well

I agree with Brian. Records are fine but won't keep them coming back. Putting them on fish is all that matters
