Sweet! Next on my list is a toaster oven... I'll pick one up when I get back home.... Does it make a big difference? How long do you bake them?

I do 225 for 20 minutes. The recommendations on this vary greatly but this is enough...they come out hard as a rock. Great work on the fluid bed.

thanks, my wife finally noticed where her toaster oven went. I bet she brings a new home real soon lol.

btw as far as the paper bag vs. coffee filter goes.......paper bag is definitely far better.

You folks please help me get started on the right foot. What is the paper bag vs coffee filter? You're saying that air will pass thru a brown paper bag enough to "bubble" the powder? And about the jig eyes, when is the best time to clean the paint from the eye of the jig, and the best way to do it? And lastly (for now anyway) with this setup, can you have 2 cups "bubbling" at the same time so's to make 2-color jigheads? Thanks for all the tips & advice.

I tried both the coffee filter and it wouldn't fluff the powder right, so went got bags and tried that, and success the bags are perfect and I feel a little stronger. as far as the eyes I use 2 different ways to clean the eyes. 1. I use a straightened small paper clip and clean as soon as I dip in the powder. but if I miss one I went to walmart and got the dremel carving tool it was 3.00 and it is the perfect size for the eyes, I put it in my cordless drill and use that. REMEMBER it is alot harder to clean them after baking than before. and yes I can have 2 beds going at once, depending on how many you want to bubble at the same time you can always get a bigger aerator. hope this helps, Im not a pro but picking it up real quick. I usually tie 100 or so on the weekends.

I hold the head by the hook eye with a needle nose pliers when I dip them so the paint never gets in the eye. Have to scrape the paint off the pliers every so often but better than cleaning all those eyes. Lots of people use forceps also but I didn't like them.
