I got a new I pilot and I need some info on how to mount it. I have a Maxxum on the boat now. Do I need to take off the old mount and replace it with a new mount. I do want to have to drill new holes either. If any one has any suggestions it sure would help me.

If I remember right it will take 26 new holes to mount it.

yes, it will need a diff mount. After using the new deploy system, you WILL want it, plus some of the motor operations are in the base . . . . I bit the bullet & put mine on the minn-kota quick disconnect mount that fit the ipilot. Had 2 holes that did not match, but using the quick mount, I should not have to do that again. Plus I can take that high $$$ trolling motor off the boat if needed.

Johnny, I must have gotten lucky on my re-mount, I only had to put 24 new one in . . . including the 2 that did not match smile

I got this:

I got the TM & the bracket from the factory outlet store:

Hope this helps!
