The Ray Hubbard Bass Cub will be having our first tournament of 2012 on Saturday January 14th at Lake Ray Hubbard. Here are the details.


• When: Saturday January 14th
• Where: Chandlers Landing
• Time: 7:00AM - 3:00PM
• Registration: 5:30 - 6:45AM
• Entry Fee: $60.00 per boat – 2 person maximum

You do not need to be an RHBC member to fish this tournament! This one is open to any and all comers. When you register you will be given a numbered chip. Lines out of the water at 3:00. 30 minutes dead water to get back to the weigh in site. You must have your chip turned in to the TD by 3:30. Weigh in begins at 3:30. Trailering is allowed. After registration and livewell check, you are allowed to go to any ramp you wish. No lines in the water until 7:00AM. PM or e-mail me with any questions or for more information. This is a non points tournament for RHBC members. We will be discussing this event at our January meeting on Thursday the 12th if you have questions. See you at the ramp!

Brett and Tucker cant fish!! or else they get a 2 fish handicapp! they can only weigh 3!! LOL!!

Yeah, that way they only weigh 22-23 pounds. Maybe...

They will be tough to beat.

How does the payout work?

Here is a link to the Club By-Laws. It's Article 3 (Tournaments) Section 3. Gives a complete rundown of the payouts on Club Tournaments. We pay out 1 in 5 up to 6 places. After 6 places, we up the payouts to those in the top 6.

You might find someone to fish with at the meeting Thursday night, 7pm at Weekends on Ray Hubbard. Everyone is invited, you don't have to be a member to come to the meeting and this is an Open so you don't have to be a member to fish this one.

Hubbard is tough for numbers but size is good right now. If this front doesn't do something crazy there should be some good sacks ..

Don't forget guys. New rules this year. We have a 30 minute dead water time at the end of the day. We will start registration at 5:30. Tournament hours are 7-3. You can trailer if you like. No lines in the water until 7:00. All lines out of the water at 3:00. Check in with your chip by 3:30. Weigh in begins at 3:30. 30 minute dead water period between 3 and 3:30.

heard there was only two limits!

Yeah two limits. We finished second with four fish couldnt get theat fish bite. Good tourney though.

First place and third place had the only limits. It was tough as usual on us. We caught one fish and that was at 2:30. Not even a bite before that. We actually caught two fish, but I don't want to talk about the monster Buffalo I tail hooked. That thing almost ripped the gears out of my reel!

Sounds just like socaltom to try and weigh the BB for the tournament (big buffalo). lol

I wanted to stuff it in the livewell (if it would've fit) and take it to weigh in but Jay wouldn't let it on his boat.
