Anyone know if you will catch any grief for setting piles on this mudhole?

About 3 yrs. ago I lived in CS. I fished Gibbons Creek and I ask permission to sink some brush. I was told NO and that a fine would be issued if they caught me doing it. I was told by a local he did it with out trouble. I was an outsider and did not take the chance.

Take some concrete blocks with you and use a rechargeable chainsaw (or bow saw), and they will never know. Don't haul the brush in your truck or in your boat. Pull up to the bank, cut some good size limbs down, tie to block and drag out with boat. They'll never know.

There use to be some good BP's on the right side by the stumps heading out of the ramp and also off the rocks at the south end near the spillway.

best if you PM me GPSs or good pics so I can help you watch out for them and I'll even do a survey count of any fish on the brushpiles for you. cheers

Actually, in past years, we had quite a few piles out there and some were quite huge. In recent years, I've seen the piles disintegrate and disappear largely due to some hurricane winds/waves, but also surely due to fouled braided fishing lines pulling them apart.

Good luck. Here;'the number: http://www.gibbonscreek.com/contact.aspx

Spoke with gate attendant Larry? myself today and he indicated brush pile building (by bringing your own materials) is ok.....just use common sense and stay away from blocking any flows at plant inlet and outlet areas and also avoid boat ramp and spillway proximity.
