I know boat insurance varies from individual to individual based on wants and needs. However, I would like to know some of the basics when selecting boat insurance. Any input is valued.

make sure you get replacement value and set the price at what it would cost new. make sure the trailer has at least 2-3K value. add a rider for $5000 for your personal possesions in the boat in case someone steals all your stuff. Deal with the insurance company direct, and not through a 3rd party marketing agent.

call Karen at State Farm and she will do it right. 972-231-1988

You might want to avoid Progressive. I used to help manage a marina, and when our clients had a claim with them they would send a guy out who would work hard at not paying.

I know that some companies are better than others, but when it comes right down to it. They want your premium! They dont want your claim!!!!!

Call State Farm and pay the man... If you need it they won't act like the don't know you. Make sure you have replacement insurance and at least double what you think you have in equipment!
