Caught our first two limits for 2012 season this past Saturday. Got a nice 3 foot rise on the river for a few days and the whites have started moving up. Some females and males. Average about 12 inches long. Not the really big ones yet but definately had a large time. Water is coming back down but more rain on the way. We are planning on being able to launch at River Ridge so have your jon boats ready or better yet just plan on a guided trip. Anything can happen as far as rain between now and the end of January when the whites really kick in but they are definately going to be here. Check out pictures at www.riverridgetx.com

Since the whites go back to Toledo Bend after spawning in the Sabine every spring, they start moving back up river for the spawn for the next spring. To me that is the 2012 season coming up with the whites moving up. Guess you didn't understand my meaning of the term. Anyway, great to see fish moving up since we have had such a major drought. Look forward to hearing from each of you. Jane
