Does it make sense to use a drift sock while fishing for stripers on Texoma? wasn't sure if this is a winter technique that anyone has been successful at. Seems like when the bite is slow this would be idea?

IMO, whatever it takes to keep your drift speed below .75 mph.
I use a 60" sock to keep me slowed down.
this is my primary winter technique & works pretty good.

Drift socks work great for winter..Fished with one all day today on Palestine.

I have two different sizes that I carry and use depending on wind/wave conditions.

You can really slow down and make drifts more accurate with size/positioning of drift.

I use mine all the time on Texoma when the wind is upo and I need toslow down, especially deadsticking. I have one for the front cleat and one for the back. really slows my boat down!
