anyone wanna go? Going to BASS fish for Smallies I hope, but could be talked into trying for some CATS, I have never targeted them from kayak and don't know what spots would work best. Plus I don't have shad catching abilities.

The flow is fine, I just put a mile or so below put in and then go a little bit above put in. The current CFS will not affect me. The weather, that is always up in the air.

I live in Brock and never been up by pk dam on the brazos. Of course I just started fishing from a kayak!lol. How is it up in that area? Is it deep enough to paddle to some good holes? I fished out near cleburne on the brazos last weekend and there were a few spots that I made it thru but it was close. I'm totally new to this so any help im grateful

You would have to drag a few places, but I don't go very far. There is enough places to concentrate on around the put in for me. I fish slow though. I have never been more than one holr up from the put in or more than 3 holes downstream, someone else can help you with that.

Yaknfin - I'm off next week but this weeks a no go.... Need a Brazos fix very soon though!

Yakitup - if I lived where you do I'd be launching at 16 every weekend...

Do a search on Yaknyota. Also look at Brod's reports. You need to get over there!

I have Tues, Wed and Thurs off next week but I am in charge of the kids. I'll see if I can't sweet talk the wife into letting me go for a day. I would like to hit the Rock too!

No, I ended upgoing duck hunting with the rain that was going on. The hunting sucked, so maybe I should have gone fishing instead.

haha! thats great. I have never fished upper before. I'm trying to figure out where to park and where to get out. My buddy and I thought about taking two trucks. leave his somewhere down river. If we start at 16 do you know of a place not to far down river to park a truck? Anywhere near garland bend. On google map I noticed some rds just dont know if I can get to the river off of garland rd. Any help would be great.
