I had the pleasure of fishing the creeks of Lake Livingston today with guide Simon Cosper. If you're looking for an excellent fishing experience on scenic Lake Livingston, Simon is your man. He grew up fishing this area and knows the creeks like the back of his hand. Today our target species was Crappie and he took us up and down the creek finding submerged timber and brush along the banks. The bite was a little tough today, but due to our perseverance and Simon's great guiding skills we ended the day with a very respectable stringer of Crappie and a few bonus Whites.

My wife caught this one on a minnow, but jigs were producing as well.

Caught this one on a jig. Simon said it resembled a "toaster with eyeballs"

A fine mess of Crappie and a great day on the water.

Been going good, Ryan. I really miss fishing Yegua and Nails Creek though. Where are you fishing these days?

Lol...I haven't. Last year when we missed out on the rain, I fished in the main lake a few times (no creek water) and did pretty good. You remember DMPUTZ (spelling) from the other thread? Well he put us on the Whites and Hybrids last year.

If the lack of rain continues then I plan on kayaking around the Islands for some good fishing.
