Just an example of what folks fishing for black bass do when they can't find fish...

This was yesterday on Whitney.... this is a 7 pound shallow water fish... we only caught 6, but they were fun while they lasted...



Caught on 1/2 ounce Rattle-Traps and small square-billed crank baits.

I think that folks who knew what they were doing out there yesterday had a big day... and likely so this morning too with the clouds.

I grew up on whitney and fishing the river all the way to the island. More than once I would throw a topwater shallow for BASS and all #$%^ would break loose.

Nice, might want to check your scale, that fish looks bigger than 7 to me.
