Caught the first one on a swim jig and the other 4 on a red eye shad

Fished twin coves this morning with a gizzard swim bait and a rat l trap and didn't get bit. Care to share your method for the cold water bite?

was on the north side to the west, off drops and points...never fished deeper than 8' and was making long parallel casts to the banks and yo yo the bait back, most hits when the bait would fall, just a steady retrieve and the rod would load

I was fishing a little deep then and slow jerking it. Thanks so much for the info. Good looking fish BTW.

two of the fish were within 2 ft of the bank and basically hit it just after the bait hit the water, the bites were definitely not soft, when they hit it was aggressive.
