How do you use buffalo for catfish bait? Do you just cut chunks like you do with shad or should it be fileted first, then chunked?

If it is big enough to fillet it, I cut it in strips, kinda like little triangles about 1" wide and 2-3" long, some cut it in chunks also, just make sure that if you use a circle hook that pleanty of the hook is exposed and dont load up the bend of the hook!!!

Just make sure you have plenty of the hook exposed

yep, what Larry said! I leave the skin on the filet pieces. it helps keep the meat on the hook better! i also soak that stuff in dead red!
