I am heading to Kemah the last week of December. I have never fished there before and new to salt water fishing. I was wondering if fishing is good there that time of year and if it is worth taking my boat or just fish from the bank?

I see people fish by the Hilton on NASA one often. They get there pretty early and not much bank space there. I've fished it from my kayak and do well for trout at daybreak here
