265 is the width, your tire is 265 millimeters (10.4 inches) wide from the outer sidewall to the inner sidewall.

Your sidewall is 70% of the width, so your sidewall is 185.5 millimeters (7.3 inches) high.

The 17 is the diameter of the wheel.

I have 265/75-15 tires on my Toyota truck, if I turn it really really sharp it'll rub. But I just make sure I don't turn it really really sharp.

You can lift the truck...but for how much $?

Are they aftermarket wheels? Could be the offset on the wheels.

Stock tire size is 16" for that truck Brad. You may fix the problem with a lift but the lift may cost more than a set of the correct size tires and wheels. Another question is how would the lift affect towing your boat?

Thats weird that they are rubing on your F250. My F150 2wd has 275/70/17's on it and they dont rub. My tires are 1/2 in taller than yours too. The newer trucks must have taller finder wells.
