If it's more convenient, you can drop off your entry form and fee at Needmore Tackle for the Texas Team Trail event at Rayburn on March 10.

EVINRUDE SPONSORING TEXAS TEAM TRAIL
Newest Texas Bass Trail to Begin March 2012

NORMAN, Okla. (February 14, 2012) —Evinrude, a legendary brand that has been America’s leader in innovative outboard engines for more than 100 years, is set to begin its sponsorship of the newest bass fishing tournament trail to hit the state of Texas. With large purses and incredible sponsor bonuses, the new Texas Team Trail is touting the highest team payouts in the state. Set to begin on Sam Rayburn Lake in March 2012, the trail includes a notable and impressive lineup of sponsors.

“The support of Evinrude is extremely important to the Texas Team Trail,” said Mike Hastings, Tournament Director. “Evinrude truly understands the importance of creating a tournament trail that benefits any angler. We’re excited to have them as part of the team and look forward to sharing a world of opportunities for anglers fishing the Texas Team Trail.”

The tournament circuit, designed exclusively for team competition, will begin March 10th, 2012, and will include a total of four qualifying events, plus a year-end Championship. The Texas Team Trail website is already accepting registrations for all events online. The website offers plenty of detail on the circuit, including official rules, tournament structure, payout and incentives.

“This is a tremendous chance for anglers to test their merit against some of the best fishing waters in Texas,” said, Chris Berg, Director of Marketing for BRP's Evinrude Outboard Engine Division. “It’s just the kind of environment that helps showcase the power and performance of Evinrude E-TEC, and why nothing enhances your experience on the water like an Evinrude E-TEC. We’re excited to help host such a significant series of events.”

The new circuit also includes unprecedented television and overall media coverage, not only within the Lone Star State but across the country as well allowing a national audience to watch the action unfold from each event throughout the season. Airing on multiple networks, the Texas Team Trail will be seen on The Texas Channel, World Fishing Network, Pursuit Channel, as well as the new NBC Sports Network.

Evinrude has been pushing the boundaries of what boat and marine engines can do for more than 100 years. From manufacturing the first detachable row boat engine to setting speed records and building engines and parts for the U.S. military, Evinrude has been among the most trusted names in boating. Today, Evinrude has set its sights on helping consumers to experience more performance, power, and time on the water. BRP's Evinrude engine line-up now includes engine models from 3.5- to 300 horsepower. All engines are available at Evinrude dealerships worldwide.

For more details, anglers are encouraged to call 210-788-4143 or check out the new website at www.texasteamtrail.com. Site visitors can register for events, review the TV schedule, get official Texas Team Trail gear, view results and learn more about what’s in-store for 2012.

The last opportunity to enter the Rayburn event is prior to the close of registration (8:00 pm) on Friday the 9th. Entries are not accepted on Saturday morning. If you can't make it to the lake on Friday evening, you can submit your entry online, by snail mail or drop it off at Needmore Tackle and appoint a representative (another competitor, family member, friend, etc.) to register for you between 5:00-8:00 pm on Friday. See the official rules below regarding Pre Tournament Practice & Registration:

5. Pre Tournament Practice:All TXTT events have a 4 day off limits period, which consists of the Monday Thursday prior to the tournament. No Contestant may be on designated tournament waters for any reason during the official off limits period. The Friday prior to the tournament will be considered an official practice day.Only anglers that have pre registered and
paid entry for the event before midnight Thursday will be eligible to take part in Friday’s official practice day.

6. Registration:Anglers may preregister online prior to each event. Balance and membership for each event must be paid in full prior to the conclusion of on site registration, which will run from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm the evening before the event. Each team must register in person at the designated site during on site registration hours regardless of preregistration. For anglers that did not preregister, on site registration tournament entry will be on a first come, first served basis until the field is full. Boat numbers and flights will be based on random draw and posted during on site registration.

a. If extenuating circumstances prevent on site registration attendance,it is the sole responsibility of the team to appoint a representative who will be responsible for drawing the team’s boat number during onsite registration and communicating all
pertinent information to the team.

I really like this.......good luck with your trail. 100% paypack- now we are talking. I'm tired off some greedy directors. I am all for helping them out, but some are just trying to squeeze every penny out!

I applaud you for getting this together-hats off. I am looking forward to your trail and making some of these tournaments!

Good luck to all!

NORMAN, OK - The newest team tournament trail for anglers in and around the Lonestar State is scheduled to kick off Saturday March 10 on Sam Rayburn Lake. Registration for the event is already underway - anglers can secure an opportunity to pre-fish Friday, March 9th by completing their registration online, via phone or stopping by Needmore Tackle and registering prior to midnight on Thursday.

The event itself, designed exclusively for team competition, offers anglers an unprecedented opportunity in terms of payout, sponsor bonuses and television coverage.

The Sam Rayburn event is the first of four 2012 qualifying events that guarantee a fully-rigged, 18' tournament equipped bass boat package as first place prize - in this case a Triton 18SE with 150 hp Mercury outboard. Combine that with a budget-friendly, $250 entry fee, multiple contingency bonus programs and over 100% payback - and the buzz among Texas' anglers is firmly centered on the new TXTT and upcoming March 10th event on Sam Rayburn.

On-site registration will be held Friday, March 9th from 5-8pm at Umphrey Pavilion on Sam Rayburn Lake. At least one team member is required to attend. The tournament will launch Saturday, March 10th at safe light from Umphrey Pavilion and weigh-in will begin at the same location at 3pm. Anglers with questions or anyone interested in more details on the event are encouraged to visit www.texasteamtrail.com or call 210-788-4143.
