If you need it weighed for a record, I'm not sure a fish that has been on ice that long would still be eligible for being submitted, would make it hard to prove what body of water it came from, but it may be ok. If it is, i would imagine the weight lost would depend on the starting weight of the fish.

weight loss depends on how much food they had in their stomache as well water weight will be a slight factor but most often even in tournaments fish that are full of food will often puke up several shad

I've seen fish sit on ice for 4 days on offshore trips and still be certified as records.

when it comes to the size and length of fish, most of us are guessing. I've got rulers attached to the bottom of my canoe, but I don't even trust those. My canoe isn't flat. Fish sure aren't flat. And unflat, flopping fish are measured on a concave surface in a literal second.

I just didn't want him to miss out on a record if he had one sitting in an ice chest somewhere. Didn't have time to look up the rules when I posted that. Meant to do that when I got home that day, and totally forgot.
