I'm posting about the Tiki-Stiks SSP- (Thanks Fish636)O.K.-1st off- These are the closest immitation Senko that I've used. The fall rate is close if not the same as a Senko. That signature wiggle is there too on the fall. The weight is about the same too. Surley Super Soft! More durable than a Senko IMHO-(Caught 3 fish on 1 bait) When you rig them, as you penetrate the bait, massive amounts of Salt! fishMOLOPO Scent is present too! Fished it besides a Big Bite "Cane Stick" and the Tiki produced 4 to 0...Canyonking is speaking the truth- I'm no Pro, or a Bass Guru but I tell you what, These baits should have Gary Yamamoto worried...My $.02

No they are not sold at "big retailers". Either directly or via smaller tackle shops. maybe some online retailers.

At $6.49 a bag I doubt Gary is worried. I love the old Tiki Sticks, but for that price I'll just by the original.

Good point. The Senko's ($6.89) at Academy are only 40 cents more.

Guy's again this is just another option. We might be go back and do some existing baits in this new formula. We will for sure be using this formula in several new baits. We will be back in Cabela's for 2012. We are working on some of the other big box stores and they will happen soon enough. We obviously want them to be conveniant for our customers to get there hands on them.

Sit tight as we just might bring out a larger size. We have had several requests for a larger size. The Bamboo is a great option but many are wanting someing 7 inchs or more.

Most of the big box stores went to private labeling. Academy was a great account for us and we hope to get back in there soon. Requests for our products will sure help us get in sooner than later.

You can buy Gary Yamamoto senkos several places on online from
$6.49-6.99. I dont know why bait companies just dont come up with something original instead of copies of others products.

We do have many original designs in the works. This was just a personal project I wanted to go back and improve apon. This is not replacinng our original but just a premium stick for the guy's that want the higher end stick. I wanted to show what he has is not magic and it can be done correctly at a very reasonable price point. I hope everyone enjoys it.

Tiki sticks helped me cash a check last year in FLW when one of the coldest fronts that has ever hit Rayburn shut us down on day 1. I believe technique had a lot to do with it as well but they would inhale the tiki stick and wouldn't let go.
Good folks and good baits at Wave, I will be stopping by before I head to Amistad.

Because they sell and people will ask for them. If you had a company that you really like doing business with and getting plastics from you would probably find yourself asking "When will you come out with a Senko style bait? or a fluke style bait? or a brush hog style bait?" I like the fact that multiple companies make a fluke style bait and senko style bait or what-not because it gives you color options outside what 1 company makes. Maybe another companies version is more durable and has better action while at the same time offering more colors. There are several styles of bait that 95% of all companies try to make something similar in. They are Brush hogs, 6-8 in worms, senkos, craws, and fluke style baits. Some are hard to make a noticeable change to the design and some are not.

So are we to expect another Tiki Scorpion or Tiki Tarantula? I never understood the scorpion.

Got my hands on some of the SSP baits today and I like how they feel. Of course the reel test will be when I get to take them fishing which will most likely be after Christmas. Will update on the results as soon as I get them on the water.
