When I started carping I was using plain o braid for hook lengths but I was having a lot of issues with getting wind blown. So I tried out some of the coated braid and fell in love with it.
I got some earlier this year, can't remember the name of it but it ran out a while back, so i had ordered some endzone coated braid but that stuff was junk IMO. It kinked easy, i dunno, i just don't like it.
So what do you use?

I was complaining to you about that endzone kinking on me about six months ago at 1rst street.I didnt like it either. If there are others that the coating doesnt make them kink as easily I would like to try them.

Coretex and mantis for me. Mantis doesn't strip as easily as Coretex but both are brilliant for hooklinks

I use leftover 50lb powerpro that I had from spooling up a reel. I use green and red, but I'm thinking red actually produces better results. I'm thinking it has something to do with the way the color red disappears after like 3 ft of water - although I can't be certain. Seems like I can fish them side by side and catch more on red.

On topic: Freakin Korda n-trap. It's stiff enough to prevent tangles but soft enough to contour to the bottom. It's also good for double overhand knots

Mantis. It is difficult to strip, but works very well.
I also like the reverse combi rig, which I have made with 40lb powerpro and 15 or 20lb fluoro. Lately, however, I approximate it using just the Mantis.

I used 15 lb Fox Cortex. It strips easy, but some times the coating starts coming off after a few fish. Not all the time mind you. It's 18.50 for 20 meters.

I went from snakebite to coretex and I am now using the ntrap as well. The ntrap is very very nice. The coating does not pull off or slide back when you are fighting a fish and even when you cinch a knot it doesn't pull back. It still strips easy though. My coretex which I did love would pull back and I lost a few fish when the fish dug down in the rocks since the braid was exposed and broke easy.

Mantis. I have a tool for fly tying that is like a clamp. I clamp down and pull...the coating comes off fine.

Coretex 25#!!!!! it hasn't failed me yet. I tried all the kryston stuff but I lost a lot of fish cause it breaks if there is any shock load on it. cortex has done me right from 5lb to mid 50's
