I wonder what kind of fish that is. It almost looks like flounder but I know it couldn't be since the limit was 2 just a week ago and just went back up to 5 in December. I guess the limits are much higher elsewhere.

Halibut? But those have strict limits in US and Canadian waters as well.

The limits in some of neighboring states might be more liberal. I really don't know. Glad we have the rules we have now to discourage what we took for granted 50 years ago.

That was a great trip for someone though no matter where it was.

Brings back memories of 100+ flounder nights on Christmas Bay back in the very early 60's. The was no San Louis Pass bridge, no beach road along the gulf. The road ended at Surfside and you had to run the wet sand at low tide about 7 miles to the east and turn into the dunes when you saw the railroad ties sticking up in the loose sand.
