I have one that the manual power doesn't work and when you turn it on with the remote the set goes through a clicking process before it come on. These clicking times have grown from 3-4 minutes to hours.

Hurst TV on pipeline? in Hurst works on em.

I had the same thing happen on a DLP projection. I gave it to a buddy of mine and used it as an excuse to buy a plasma. He took it to Hurst and they replaced some switch on the light engine, and it was less than 300 bucks.

I've replaced parts in a few.. something like 75 or 80 of them.

Most of the time this is the AC to DC inverter board that's the problem.

Whats the Make/Model of the unit?

I'll tell you something right here and now that will save you guys some headache. Buy a UPS for your TV, not to keep the thing running when the power is out but to prevent damage from under voltage. I've kept my TVs on UPS's for years and not had a single problem related to power.
