i know a lot of it is a matter of paddling them etc. but theres a couple places that dont do demos, or whatever. im looking at the jackson cuda, wilderness ride 135 and whatever else yall think might be in that caliber. from what ive read and seen it looks like those are the 2 front runners on quality and craftsmanship. so what if any are the downfalls of one to the other? is there a feature one has thats really beter than the other one? ive talked to a few dealers and its a lot of " try em out etc" but im looking for whatever advice yall have had experience with. im a newbie, fish mainly lakes and rivers around austin area. im about 220 and 5ft10 if that helps. if theres another brand/model out there thats better let me know please

Have you looked at the Hobie revolution? Or the Hobie Outback. You can't beat the stability of the Outback. If your looking for a rocket ship look at the revolution 11 or the revolution 13.

If you get a Hobie, be sure to get the ST Turbo fins.

The Native Manta Ray is also a great boat but you cant go wrong with Wilderness Systems. The Cuda looks kicka$% but I dont know much about Jackson fishing kayaks. I own a WS Ride and a Native MR. Both great boats.

I'm the same size and can fish standing up in the 2012 Ride135. My advice would be to still try it before you buy it. Just have the dealer take both of those boat down to the lake and paddle both of them. This away you can see which one you like better.

I have a coosa, but the cuda looks to have everything they left off the coosa. And seems everything the two share, on the cuda looks a lot better thought out, if I needed another kayak it's the one is get.
