Fished the rivers Saturday with wind and overcast skies. Water was muddy at best wherever we went. The small cut we fished last time didn't even produce a strike so we looked elsewhere. Finally found a shoreline with nothing but hydrilla that finally produced some fish. This hydrilla was the key. All other spots, no matter how fishy they looked, just weren't happening. Caught 11 fish, all on shallow diving crankbaits. Biggest was about #1-1/2.

There is a lot of lake here but I have no idea how much of it is actually fishable. We pulled up to several cuts off of the river to find that they were just too shallow. What appears to open water, also appears to be too shallow.

That place is mostly silted in. you can go up river and catch them all the way to the rayburn dam. Its pretty good where the neches and angelina connect. The closer you get to the dam, the more spots you catch.

Correct. The one place that we found holding fish was where the two rivers come together.
