When it starts getting closer to spring. We get more and more. Usually have 25-30 teams in late Feb, March & April. Maybe some of the guys that have been hunting will show up to this one since deer season will be over and there is a media tournament the following week.

I have gotten Pm',s from people wanting to know if they could fish 3 or 4 in one boat. When I tell them "NO", they say "well it doesn't say that you can't". (So now it does..)

You ever had one of those tournaments where you aint catching squat and thinking dang this is a tough day, it won't take much to win today. And then we got in and Eric and Franky have almost 24lbs. My head is still spinning trying to figure out what we did wrong.

i lost three in the 10lb. range and one might have gone 12
i had one that looked like it would go 8 that broke my rod
and a 6 that when i was putting him in the live well flipped around and fell over the side of the boat. o yea i had a 7 that i caught earlier in the day and by noon he didnt look too good in the livewell so i let him go before he died. then on the last cast of the day i hooked a giant (i think it was a state record) jumped and spit out my watermelon candy wollybuger. it was a little slow that day but i will get um next time.

i didnt see you out thurs. i caught some good fish. biggest went around 5 1/2. but they were spread out all over the lake. i picked one here and one there. nothing to brag about. it was pretty tough, but i'm gonna try again in the morning and see if the warm weather changes them.

I seen your truck and trailer and also Eric Pottkotter's at the ramp but didn't see either one of you on the water. We caught 15lbs on Red Rattle traps in the East Lake. It was tough and they were also scattered out. We will be there in the morning also.

It's a chatterbait with a treble trailer hook !!!!

On a side note I watched 2 guys in a yellow and white skeeter put out trailer loads of Christmas trees and plastic barrels with PVC pipe branches ....

Well that is good, because when everybody says the fishing is great on Tyler, then I will go and won't catch anything and when people say the fishing at Lake Tyler is bad, then I will usually have a good day grin... So it sounds good to me..lol

The fishing out there is a roller coaster .... I went out sat . And caught nothing but pigs from 7am to 1pm and it was like you flipped a light switch .... They just shut off .... Went back Sunday and couldn't even put a keeper in the boat . Going to be pretty warm Saturday so they should be munching up some chatterbaits !!!!! Lol

They are doing their part to make up for the fact I'm back to working 7 days a week now and haven't seen the lake unless it was from a bridge in 14 days now frown

Good luck on perky!!! Someone would have to pay me to fish that lake this time of year. Last time i was there for a tournament one of our guys came back to the launch only to find his truck and trailer had been stolen.
