Sadly to inform you, there used to be one (as in past tense).
Closed down long ago, but it was great fishing there back in the day...with great hamburger, chicken sandwich, and lots of old timers!

Yeah, I remember going to one long ago. I tried to find it again a couple years ago but never did find it again, now I know why.

Does anyone know if crappie fishing is good under the 820 bridge. If so, what time of year is best. I would appreciate any info.

lots of crappie under the 820 bridge and some big slabs too, years ago i sank 15 christmas trees under the bridge but they are no longer there due to the floods years ago but before that i would bring in some nice slabs. you can still find fish but the challenge is to find the right pylon that they are holding, most of the fish that i found was on the pylons on the opposite side of the boat ramp and start working your way back, the 3rd or 4th set of pylons is where the water depth gets deeper and thats where i always have the best luck. the best time to find them is now thru february, just be patient and keep working each pylon, many of times i thought that it was the worst lake to be on and then i found them and said to myself that i would never have to fish any other lake ever. i am a jig fisherman so i was able to work all the pylons but keep in mind that there are so many of them it could take some time, and be ready because there are some good bass that will hit your bait and run under the pylons, have fun and let us know how you do.

I have eaten crappie from the lake for a number of years but I will admit that I started going bald, my wife says its from old age but I blame it on the lake. Best baits that I like to use is a smoke or chartreuse 1 1/4" bass assassin with a pink head, the little fishy works well too, vertical jig around each side of the slabs and reel up two ft at a time from a foot off the bottom to about half way up, if they are there you will know it pretty quick, fish always seemed to be on the shady side of the pylons holding close to the support beams that hold the slab.

74-80, i was stationed at the base, we'd go out during summer nights, hang a lantern about 12" from the water, and catch crappie all night, 100's....
