I have a few days in December to fish. Looks like Dec 14th & 29/30th would be those days.
I was wondering about Cali bank fishing in December. Or maybe fishing the wall? I have a small boat but don't really want to take it. Of course I would if the wall fishing is hot.
I fish mainly for cats at Cali but wouldn't mind a Red or three. I've never caught a keeper red from there. And I've never fished Cali in Dec/Jan/Feb.
I would appreciate any advice about fishing the banks there during Dec. What baits & where would be nice too.
I forgot to mention that Braunig bank fishing is not out of the question for me. I've never fished Braunig. I've seen many bank fishermen surround the parks banks though.
Comparing Braunig to Calaveras bank fishing for cats and reds, which is the more productive lake? Curious.

It will be hard to find Reds during winter month at cali . Braunig is little harder from bank but cali has few good spots out there where you can find some good size fish .
To catch big fish you will need boat it's not easy from bank .
Braunig is pretty good for stripper through out winter times. Get a cast net find some shad and use them it's best bait.
