We have had some pretty decent rains that past couple of weeks and Lewisville has not come up even a little bit the past few times I have been out there. Are they letting all the water out and letting it go downstream? The ramp at Tower bay was showing the cylinder blocks for a few weeks now and it seems the lake is at the same level, at least last Wenesday. Hopefully after the rains this weekend it will go up.

This weekend rain we ware having will give us something we have not experienced in a long time-creek runoff.
By Tuesday morning the area lakes should be up by 3 inches or so

It takes a few days for the rain to show up in lake levels.

As parched as the land has been this past year, it'll soak up a lot of water first before there's any major runoff into our reservoirs.

In the last 24 hours, it has risen from 514.83 to 515.10.

To many peoples suprise it's takes lots of rain to make a noticeable impact on our lakes. We should see a small increase but it won't be much unless we get much more rain. I figure we need about 12-15 inches down here to bring us back up close to full.

The problem has been the rate they have been releasing the water. It will rain and be sucked back out in 3 days.

Hi fishin-nut, good to see you last awhile back.

Yep, it would be nice if we see the lake a few feet higher before the spawn season but perhaps that is wishful thinking.

At 6 PM Sunday, we have only received one inch on Lake Palestine, and I see no appreciable runoff. If we get another two inches we will probably see some significant runoff.

Lets face it, even a foot of water in area lakes would help,,,,,until we get more.

As of this Monday morning Lake Palestine has had 2.25" of rain on the lake and the ground is saturated. and it is still raining.

So, if we had the same ammount of rain in the watershed we should see some increase in the lake levels over the next few days.

Pray for MORE.

this morning has been the first I have seen of any runoff in the creeks on the way to Terrell. The ground was so dry, that it soaked up the last two days worth of slow rains. Unfortunately the rains are gonna stop when we need them the most. If it would only pour buckets the next two days, then the lakes would benefit frown
