Anyone know of any ponds near Joshua for some bass fishing? Our bass club at centennial high school in burleson is looking for some spots to fish. Thanks!

Try out Bailey Lake in Burleson. There are some in the main lake but I've had the best luck in the smaller adjoining tanks and Hidden Creek running through the golf course.

More people are fishing it now and it's starting to get trashy in places though, so I try to pack out more than I bring in.

Have fun and good luck.

There is also a new community pond at the new park on main street in Joshua. It was supposedly stocked and has fishing rules posted but I haven't fished it yet.

Both fishes rapidly reproduce, and can quickly out-compete native fishes. They tolerate low oxygen levels far more than most of our native fishes, this is one of the reasons why they’re selected as pond fish. Thanks for all the users have posted a useful information.

Nope, not a bit of sense. I guess he thought he was replying to a different thread or the top half of his post disappeared.

Oh the mountain vally golf ponds have some nice big bass in them. Even bigger kitties. a highschool bassclub should have no problem getting permission to fish it one Monday a month. Also, keene has a good size pond but it really is sorely needing management as the fish are suffering in this inpoundment.
