Have not fished MW in a couple of weeks. Ramp is ok, but I still trim the motor up some on 17' sea ark, messed up a prop a few month back. Last time I was there could not get on any crappie. Fished my normal spots, fish were holding around 10-12' in 13-15' of water.

Load and unload on the far right side. Watch the rocks on the left side and raise the motor before approaching the dock. It is best to load and unload passengers and gear at the marina dock instead.

Health and family have kept me off the lake, but this is the time for big crappie.

Fish 14 feet of water with a dark jig. I find a 1/32 oz red head, blue body and white tail fished near the bottom in 14 feet of water over the rocks works well.

Try just north of the little island, the A-frame, and the point to the east of the fishing pier as you leave the ramp. Also try fishing the area on the North East side, there are some big boulders on that shore line heading south from the pier. I have caught fish in 7-12 feet of water. A few month back I got a 15" crappie and a few 14" one in the last area.

Yes there is water under the pier, see people fishing it on ever trip, not sure if they are caughting any from it.

Shhh! It is not necessary to tell all we know.

The handicapped pier at the marina does have about 10 feet of water under it and some good crappie are being caught. Directly in front of the pier there is a drop off to deep water within easy casting distance.

The pier across the lake from the marina on the east side also has water although not as much. Bear south east from the boat ramp. That pier is reachable from the Live Oak parking area with about a 1/8 mile walk. It is a hot spot in the spring.

Don't worry smithaven I did not give away all the secret places. One still has to find the right bait to caught them with. Last time out I found a few secret brush piles also. And there might be a few more added by spring.
