with water dropping at Grapevine and no end in sight it was time to get my hanging piles out from under the boat house. everyone knows how cold the air and water is. I pulled up the first pile and there was a HUGE Texas Rat snake about 3 feet down wrapped up in my pile (he would have been 5 feet underwater). If same one I saw there in summer he's a good 6 footer and thick as my forearms. I love snakes and enjoy when I see them out there, was just a little surprised seeing him this cold and that deep in my brush pile!
