I usually use tied jigs but I recently bought some assassins and wanted to know if anybody likes using these?

I Use Bobby Garlands baby shad(similar to the assasin) and love'em! Thanks to Kurt and Justin....I'm hooked! Justin's 9 year old caught a 9lb bass off one crappie jigging also...

The panfish assassin was the most popular soft plastic we sold at the marina. The electric chicken was the most popular color. Put them on a pink 1/16 oz jig head and prepare to pull in the crappie. When the white or yellow bass are schooling put a silver phantom on a black 1/4 oz jig head and hang on. A great lure.

Yes they do work. I have alot of different colors along with the bobby garland baits and slab bandits. I used the new color limetruese ghost today on a 1/32 white head and brought home 17 keepers and 8 throwback.

Do you fish these just like you do a crappie jigs? Under a bobber? Or do you swim it slowly and constantly through the water? Thanks!

Fish them like any other crappie jig. Hold the rod still and watch for the slightest bump. Or fish them under a bobber in the same conditions where you would fish a jig under a bobber. But I would not swim it for crappie. For whites, yes.

I've been using panfish assasins since the mid 90's.When they first came out they had 2 colors (alewife and albino shad). They were just called bass assasins.I used them for the first time at the marina at Navarro Mills when Bill owned it and they caught more fish than any tube jig.I own every color but my favorites are chartreuse woodpecker and electric chicken. You now have other baits like Bobby Garland's and slab bandits but bass assasins started it all as an option to tube jigs and hand tied.

Panfish assassins were all I fished about 10 years ago and the only reason I changed to them was because I was being out fished by people using them. They were the first small minnow or shad shaped baits on the market in the 90's if I remember right hmmm , and they still work today...
