A two-and-a-half year goal is one step closer to becoming a reality. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Thanks, George!

The week before Thanksgiving, we went to the Seychelles, Alphonse Island Resort, on a Tailwaters hosted trip.

The class tippet has to be a minimum of 15", not counting the knots. Using a brand new, 30 yard spool of Rio 2kg/4.4lb tippet when we began the trip, on the sixth and last day, there was enough material remaining for five class leaders. Three broke that morning, so I was on my fourth leader. With a different strategy suggested by the guide, Andrew Mayo, and some fortuitous luck, I finally had a 1 pound fish that didn't break the line.

Now, it's a waiting game.

I blogged this adventure and included a few pictures. Even though it is Pending, I am finally getting excited. I do still have doubts in the back of my mind due to what happened to a client of guide Kirby LaCour from Southern Louisiana. At least, the parts for which I was responsible have been completed to satisfaction. Everything else is out of my hands.

Another requirement met: The 15lb. BogaGrip was returned by IGFA and is certified through 12/2012 weighing true at all five weighing increments. Therefore the weight of the fish is accurate according to IGFA standards.

Danman,

We caught two days worth of Bonefish. It was a lot of fun. Cody caught a 6.25 pound Bonefish. Here's a good doubles of Cody and I. I quit targeting them on Day 2, because I was saving myself for the Bluefin.

It is official!! I found out today that I did set the IGFA record for Bluefin Trevally in the 2 kg class tippet. Poor Cody, I whooped and hollered and startled the poor man to death when I found out.

Thanks for all the well wishes.
