Went out with Mike and Ted for a couple of hours this morning. Was a tad chilly but not to to bad. Bout an hour after lines were put in Mike had a run, but after recently respooling, he had his mainline drag to loose and when he set the hook he managed to birdnest a spinning rig, was classic, fish got off.

Mike got this beast next.


I was the next to catch and knew I had something decent as soon as I brought the rod tip up because I hit a brick wall. I don't know how long it took me but it seemed like forever before this monster landed in the net.



It went 56# even, a new waterbody record and PB. We used Ted's certified scales and got all the info to submit!

Mike got the next run, another healthy buff, 32.6#


And last fish of the day went to Ted and he closed the day out with a 43.14# buff.


So all in all a great short session. Fish came on 3 different baits, butterscotch maize, spearmint maize and tres flores tutti boilie.

The carp there seem to be teeners and smaller. The think the record will be broken soon though. 14.25 is the current record by our own Chris Munn

I think its like 8 weekdays and 10 on weekend per car, can walk in for a dollar!

if there is a bunch of us we will usually park out front, pile into my truck and split one entry as opposed to payin for 4-5 vehicles.
