We know this is a kayak fishing forum but I imagine that some of you enjoy the outdoors in more ways than one. If you are a duck hunter or have ever considered it, you may want to stop by the Austin store on your way home on Thursday. Our very own, Justin Fees (AKA DUKAYAKER) an avid duck hunter will be offering some tips on duck hunting with a kayak. Here is the actual event description:

As the weather cools down, the hunting gets hotter…specifically duck hunting. While not for everyone, some will choose to brave below freezing temperatures with the hopes of harvesting a few duck just in time for the holidays but what few have never considered is utilizing a kayak for hunting. Before you head out get some tips from our very own Justin Fees to be better prepared including choosing the right gear, outfitting your kayak, concealment and as an added bonus, setting up your decoys. In-store discounts will be available.

For more information or to reserve your spot, visit: https://www.facebook.com/events/153369981431354/

Date: Wednesday, November 30th, 2011
Time: 6pm – 7pm
Location: ACK Austin Store
Address: 9705 Burnet Rd #102, Austin, Texas 78758

As always, all seminars are free.

Hope to see you there!

I do most of my hunting via kayaks.
To far for me, but a great idea for a seminar.

I sure see plenty of ducks while I'm out to kayaking to make it worth while. I almost got taken out a couple weekends ago by a duck flying right at my head. slinger

I typically hunt the Granger lake area. Not the most productive but close to home. I've also hunted parts of the coastal areas near Rockport down to Port Aransas. Awesome experience in a kayak as long as you are well prepared and stay dry.
