I have the pc app and you don't have to put the navionics chip in your computer. You just download the south map data and you have them right there. This is perfect for people who don't have a chip yet or don't have a chip reader in their fish finder because you can still pregame before you go to the lake. My only complaint is I wish I could zoom in a little farther, but for $25 its awesome.

From a quick glance this app is awesome. Most of my favorite lakes have 1 foot increments. Not a lot of creek/river channel detail. Havent figured out how to mark a waypoint either.

I'd say it was definately worth the 25 bucks. If somebody knows how to access a "help" page somewhere.....I'm all ears.

On the bottom of the screen there is a black bar that has "search" "distance" "WP" and "settings". if you select settings and scroll to the bottom there is a help option that will show you everything
