state record came from Pat Mayse, they are in most East Texas lakes, you just have to fins them (which aint always easy) lake o the Pines a good population, so does Lone Star Lake, they've been caught in Sandlin infrequently...I know of a small pond the is loaded with them but the only way in is launching a canoe or kayak off the side of FM 250
