Yes they are. I caught a nice one yesterday at Galveston Fishing Pier, and I saw another 2 or 3 brought in.

Thanks Red Fisherman - any idea what bait would be best right now? I usually catch live mullet with a castnet.

I use a sabiki rig and try to catch sand trout, croaker, or whiting. Then I use them for cut bait on a piano wire leader with 2 hooks and a weight. I just fish the bottom and wait for the rod to start the big bend and then the rod starts going nuts.
