I like all fish and am very happy to see another angler do well. That is what this is all about. Sharing the sport of fishing that we all love. Tournament day is when the weight really matters, other than that it should be the pure joy catching a big one. I have a 8 1/4 lb that measured 24 1/2 inches in my signature and that is my personnal best for lmb. It was a joy and a thrill that I will always remember. For the anglers that have broke the 10lb mark that is truley special. Congrats on all the nice catches.

Hey balazs, the marjority of my pictures are on the walls of 4 different stores around Lake Fork. I haven't been back there in around 3-4 yrs. Even the yrs prior to that I would not fish there durning the spawn. I might be able to find a few pictures from some of the 1980's Monticelo trips. My 1st DD bass weighed 10#4ozs caught on JAN.1 1980 on Monty on gold w/black lines Mud Bug crankbait. My 2nd one weighed 10#2oz at Lake Athens on a 11" Mister Twister worm in 18'of water. I quit taking big fish to be weighed durning the early 2000s because of the stress it caused them. Your picture of your bass is a fine specimen. Was it caught in a pond or lake? Looks like it is in a housing develoment. I will see what I can do to have a photo place make copies of the pictures. All of the pictures were taken on a Poloroid Instomatic, where you pulled the picture out by the tab and weighted for the picture to develop. You then pulled the developed photo from the tab.

Cool, see if you can scan them. I feel your pain, I have some pictures I want to scan from my childhood of me holding various bass, gar, catfish, and a huge carp that I caught in Hungary when I was a kid. Too bad I don't own a scanner... maybe when I visit my parents for christmas I've caught 3 or 4 ten plus bass, I don't really know because one of them looked to be right on the cusp and I had no scale. The bass pictured I took measurements of because it was my biggest at the time, and still is. It was caught with a yo-zuri flat crank in 4 feet of water. The other trophy bass I have caught were targeted with 6-8 inch gizzard shad under a popping cork. It was nice having an amazing bass lake in the back yard growing up. I got plenty of practice. To me, the exact dimensions aren't important. What is important is being face to face with a trophy fish.

Monkester I don't get it, where is the pic your upset about I've got some pics of a certified 11.4 but with all this negative talk I'm keeping em to myself. Nice fish to all, I'm not a true bass fisherman, I just like any fish that pulls, I don't care if it's bass, catfish or carp.
