Has any tried these out yet for spider rigging? Don't know if they will be stiff enough for the extra weight.

Got my reels this morning from academys sale, now I just need the rods.

I have 4 of them and they are just fine for spider rigging. Go for it. Also have 4 10 footers as well.

It depends how much you use them, and what you are fishing with. Normal conditions and not fishing super deep they will be great. If it is windy or I am fishing deep they bounce more than I like with a heavier weight. A few years ago I started with cheap HT telescoping poles. They got they job done, especially when I didn't know what I was doing. I upgraded to pro anglers and like them better. This year I hope to upgrade to B and M's.

I will be using them for spider rigging deep drop offs in the winter and will be using a Capps and Coleman style rig with the heavy sinker in the bottom

I have four 10' and two 12' PAT.
They work great. 12' are heavier (obviosuly) but still have the same great action. They are very stout, you won't have any problems or complaints. Best rods by far for the money.
