New to wade fishing .... Any good spots in SLP or Freeport?

pick up a copy of Ray Thompson's Wade/Kayak fishing the upper Texas coast. He details many walk-in spots in that area. SLP a great area, but would not recommend it to a first timer. Currents real strong and if you go, take PFD and stay near where others are fishing

Thanks for the heads up guys. Will be careful, always wear my PFD and go with a more experienced friend.

We did kayak out a few weeks ago to Mud Island ... killed the sand trout. One guy caught a 39" bull red (tagged).

You can wade Christmas bay also this time of year.. either go to bernies and go right or go to the subdivision at the back and you can go either way there..

This time of year.. I would recommend getting our Big Speckled Trout DVD.. especially if you are new to wading... It will save you about 8 years of on the water experience..
