Hey guys, I'm having trouble with the spool tension knob on my Abu Garcia Revo S. I tightened the knob down as far as it would go, and even then a 5/8 oz lure would fall down pretty fast. Is this normal for this type of reel??

I have this same problem with my inshore. I've gone as far as completely tearing it down and comparing it to schematics to no avail.

Flip the spacer below the bearing on the palm side and do the same thing on the control knob. Or if that does not do it completely clean the inside of the cast control knob with all its spacers, remove the bearing on the palm side and clean the spacer on that side. Sometimes excessive oil will cause this and if the reels have been used a lot the shaft itself will wear on the ends enough to cause some of those problems
