On my Droid my nav apparently wont launch without an internet connection.
I was using it out on ray rob the other day and kept going in and out of coverage.
If you find a way to use it without a signal I'd be interested to know how

Make sure you completely shut it down when you are not using it because it will kill your battery quick!

Click settings, the click dowload map then it will bring up a box and you can drag to the area you want to save. Atleast that's how it works on the droid app.

+1 on that. If you are saving a track, it will continue to track and use your battery even after you leave the lake if you don't shut it down. Honestly, this app is only useful to check out contour lines because its to hard to use while fishing. I did find my way out of the Thanksgiving fog with this thing though.
