They were camera shy, around our boat anyway. Biggest blue was 6 stinkin pounds! My son caught about a 4 lb channel, which, believe it or not, would qualify as a jr lake record if I had a certified scale to weigh it on.

That scale from the magic store? Where can I get me one like that? The ones ive seen always give an err message...

We are just gonna start calling these things the salsa fund!!! Lol

i did not donate to the salsa fund but our biggest was about 8lbs. caught almost 20. All seemed about 6lbs. I did see alot of people drift fishing though...more than usual...Waves got bad about 12pm, as far as we could tell. Was soaked on the way in bad...

Now that's a real beauty! What was the water temp out there?! That is one late-season flatty.

The flatties have been on fire lately for some reason. I have never seen so many caught while fishing for blues. Water temps are hovering around 60 degrees.

so who was the big winner, gonna try it sunday myself. nice fish to all.

how high do those 50lb scales buffer up to? the ones DAM and i have seen error out past 50lbs, but have heard they can give a 10% buffer and i read somewhere that one guys went up to 75lbs. just wondering...we (I) like our spring scales...picked it up last year before we hit grapevine and just happened to land the record many hours later...it was a crazy coincidence!

We had a great time this weekend, Shoestring was awesome, sorry we never got to meet up with Tom but enjoyed visiting with Micheal and Teri, we to donated to the Salsa fund... ROFL

Had a great time. We got down to Twok Tuesday evening and was able to spend the thanksgiving holiday on the water. 2 mornings socked in in the fog was interesting....had to run electronics...could not see 15ft in front of the boat.

The bite is still kinda weird w/ the warm water temps. It needs to hit that majic 54 degrees...hopefully w/ the cooler weather coming we can accouplish that.

Wow BigBerg, what a fish. I am still dreaming a catching a fish that size. That is why I am stoked about this trip. Maybe we will get our butts kicked and maybe we won't. Time will tell.
