I have a thing for plastics with scent added (really like the Yum baits), so I had to try some of the Scent Wiggl'rs. I can't tell if my smeller is going bad with old age or if they just don't have much scent to them. Was planning on trying them alone and as a trailer behind a hand-tied jig. Only been out where I could try them once and it was tough all around, so no good test yet.

Anybody have any experience with them?

Have used the chartruse ones at Bob Sandlin and they worked great on a 1/16th white head.

Love my bobby garlands! Havn't tried the scent wiggler, but I know the baby shad are coated in some sort of oily scent....not real strong, but present...not sure if that's just a "non-stick" spray, or some sort of attractant...

Tony, since the scent is salt, I would say they are flavored.

My favorite bait of choice, have caught hundreds of crappie on them. I also use a 1/16th oz. head.
Look at my post!

Alot of folks look at my hook with that " what the hell is that look". After I've yanked several out they proceed to ask.

I bought some of these yesterday to try out, think I got the Threadfin color. Thought they looked a little different.

I have had my best luck with the glo chartruese and ghost. I've got 5 different colors though and have caught fish on all of them. Good luck when you give em a shot tipps.

OK, I've had a chance to give them a fair try out. I give them an A. Used alone and as a trailer on handtied bucktail jigs they shine. As both days started, the best bite was on a white bucktail jig, no trailer. Later in the day, it switched to the chartruce (Outlaw special) scentwiggl'r. ( I was fishing with 2 rods, both with tandem jig set-ups. One rod had a white (Ghost) wiggl'r and the Outlaw wiggl'r while the other had 2 white bucktail jigs, one with blue head...one with gold) I put the end of an Outlaw colored wiggl'r as a trailer on the white bucktail and the bite pretty well evened out between the wiggl'r alone and the bucktail with trailer.

Next trip it'll probably be something completely different, but that's it for the last 2 trips...................

Any of you pop the top bead off of them? Another trick with them I use is go to a 1/32oz head and pop 2 pieces off. Seems to help using the smaller bait when bite is slower. Glo chartruese and glo ghost have produced good results. I will say people do look at your hook kinda funny but always inquire afterb I've popped 3 or 4 out.

The sent wiggler is a really good bait it has what is called X scent in it I go to the plant often they are only one of a couple baits that are able to use this I woould suggest if you need more scent on them to use eagle claw grease it is the same thing
