Fished a little channel on the west side of Lewisville today from 1:30 to 5:30. Beautiful day out with very little wind. Got some nice XL gizzards hanging out near a dock along with some good sized bream. Bite was slow and only caught seven, but still a decent day. Big fish were 24 and 14. Caught an 8 lb channel that looked like it was starving to death! Very long and skinny fish with a big ole ugly head. Also got a dink hybrid and a turtle. All fish (and turtle) were caught on large shad heads. 0 fish on live bluegill or shad fillets.

Poor channel. Good job though.

I think that channel got a big meal! No more shad head on the hook when I got him in. They were all released to go fatten up for winter.

Hank, the bait was in about 5-6 feet of water over sand/gravel. They are still shallow enough to net from the bank until it gets colder. What lake do you normally fish? I'm out twice a week or so, I could let you know when I have extra gizzards if you want. Nice meeting you neighbor!

I'm usually on Lavon, but have fished Lewisville a little this year. Also went to Tawakoni last weekend, and am going back tomorrow.

I fish Lavon, Lewisville and Ray bob most often. I'll be headin up to Texoma too, but have a lot to learn up there. Did you have any luck at Twak? I've been wanting to get over there sometime too. Sure does have a lot of bigguns!

Got about a dozen eaters yesterday. We're gonna fish in Salsa's tourney so I'm trying to figure the lake out a little. Probly be a cool weigh-in anyway, even if we don't do well .
I'd like to fish Texoma too. It's a heck of a lot closer than Twok. I have a lot to learn everywhere!
