If you're thinking of Delkims, be aware that the EV plus LEDs are very hard to see in sunlight. The TxIs do not have the same issue. I get around this by setting my EVs to have three different tones so I always know which rod went off.
I have blue on all of mine and its fine. Usually if I can't see the light then the rod jumping up and down on the pod is a good enough indicator for me. I like the lights more for night fishing.
I like the light for when I get a lift or slight drop back and it takes me a few seconds before I get to the rods. and my vision is not the best.
After watching hours of Bite Alarm youtube videos I ended up ordering three Chub TS5's.
They were 40% off at wacker
I saw a great demonstration on the sensitivity control The LEDs were bright (at least from what I can tell from the videos). I like the tones. Different sounds for drop back. They come with replaceable LED covers And I am cheap.

I e-mailed chub to ask them how long the LEDs stayed activated since it was not on there website.
Here is their response. The LEDs flash on drop back.
"Hi David,
The T5 alarm LEDs will latch for approximately 30 seconds after being activated. They latch ‘on’ for a forward run and latch ‘flashing’ for a drop back bite.
Hope this helps
