RDZ and I are heading to Tawakoni today. I haven't fished that lake since I was a kid and I remember catching a sand bass off the pier at the state park and being really proud of that catch because it was much bigger than the perch I had caught before. Hopefully, I can catch something a little bigger than that today.

If you catch any drum, please put them back in the water, they belong to trlrman,

and the yellow bass belong to T-Mac

and if you catch a bunch of the 15-18" shad, if you'll just put them in a bag and bury them in ice, I will come pick them up from you when you get home, even if it's just all the heads off of them, my cat really likes them!!!

Good Luck to Ya!!!

The t-mobile signal is not great out there and there wasn't much to report. We first went to the anchor in and the water wasn't anywhere near their ramp. We tried the right lane of 2 mile west and it looked like I could launch because I cups keep my drive wheels on pavement but there is a big hole at the end of the ramp and the trailer dropped off into. We ended up launching at Marina Del Ray but I wouldn't recommend that unless your boat is real small. I really don't know the ramps but the 751 ramp on the other side of the bridge is probably better but it has no dock. I didn't see holiday but I will probably try there next time.

Shad was not hard to find. The lake was like glass. We fished alot of timber anywhere from about 4 to 12'. At the end of the day James had caught enough for a good fish fry. He caught 5 fish from about 4 to 8#. My Tawakoni PB is still that sand bass 20 years ago.

Holiday is in good shape. The courtesy dock is high and dry, but they've left the gate open on the boat slips so you can load up there. Plenty of water on their ramp.

You went to the wrong ramp at anchor, the ramp in rabbit cove at anchor is fine. I used it twice this week. Twok can humble a newbie to it, keep coming back and that PB will go up dramatically.

I told James that I thought they had two ramps...but we never looked. They weren't there to take our money anyway. I am not sure if they had a drop box.

Sadly Tony, I got skunked. At the Lewisville tournament I caught every fish we weighed, but overall RDZ has got me beat as far as catching big fish.

It wasn't for any lack of effort. We covered a lot of water...and I brought some bug gizzards I had caught the night before. We tried a few different rigs.
