I am telling you about www.rodsox.com. They have the rubber opening that prevents hooks from becoming tangled, 5 standard sizes for a better custom fit. The tapered ends make loading & unloading a snap, plus the price is better, he will add a steel loop on the tip for hanging at no additional charge. Made in Texas by a disabled veteran. There are a lot of different rod covers available out there, take my word and read the customer reviews on their website. Once these go national, they will be the premier rod cover! I have used the other brands and they are either too short or too long, over priced, and the material eventually becomes separated at the eyelet. I have been using Rod Sox for almost a year, & trashed the other covers!

There is another copy on here trying to sell rod covers with a very poor design. Thing is with the Rod Sox discount, they are only a few cents cheaper than Rod Sox.

I am I no way affiliated with Rod Sox, just a very satisfied customer. Use the code tffsanta for a 15% discount. Here is the link to their guestbook comments:
http://rodsox.com/Guestbook.php

And an independent review of Rod Sox against all of the other major brands:

CYA..Cover your Assets with Rod Sox
CYA The best in covering your assets. I recently went on a mission,no,not to a far away placement, nor on a peace making mission, but a mission to find the best rod cover for my very expensive fishing rods.I paid a lot of money for the many many rods I use on tour and at home. There is nothing worse for your rod, than putting them into the rod locker without a cover,or the guides can bend or break off. Big bucks for a rod, very little to CYA. The mission was to order every rod cover/jacket/soxon the market and thoroughly test them under real conditions. Conditions not at home carefully putting my rods away, but under end of tournament conditions when we want everything to go fast and easy. The first thing I noticed with most of the inferior brands were that the end of the cover, closer to the hook keeper was falling apart, catching the lure on the keeper,or folding out, making the cover longer and always catching the hook. Another flaw I found was the ends where the tip is,was not reinforced and fell apart. Enter the RODSOX ,their brand is"FIGHT THE FISH NOT YOUR RODS" How true can one little statement be!!! This is a simple idea produced by a dozen different companies, but the RODSOX went into intricate detail and made a good product great. The top of the RODSOX is reinforced with a solid rubber coating making it impossible to break apart or catch the hook. The tip has a heat shrink vinyl band which is color coded for quick I.D.that guarantees it will not fall apart or let the tip poke thru unlike other brands. RODSOX has many different colors and 5 stock lengths plus any custom length needed. The commitment RODSOX has to it's customers is unparalleled than any other company reviewed.Soon they will be unveiling a Patriot Series in Desert Camo,in which they will be donating 15% of each RODSOX sold to the Wounded Warrior Program. As a Army Vet,I for one would rather see my money go to a company that gives back to our Veterans. RODSOX has covers for Spinning Rods,Baitcasting rods and Microguide Rods.also There are RODSOX for Crappie and Fly rods. They also offer the Stump Gabber Pro,a windy day stump anchor that really works. I pay a lot of money for my fishing rods, and I don't see why at better prices than the competitors, why any angler wouldn't use the best rod cover on the market.Made in the U.S.A. I received my order of 15 about two weeks ago. Absolutely love them. I don't have a very large rod locker on the boat and it is pretty packed. Great product and worth every penny.

Getting ready to remove the Tubes out of the Ranger box and go to these. Anyone done the Tube Removal out of a Ranger Boat?

I first learned about these fishing with Russ Lane in a Pro Am up in North Carolina a couple of years ago. He had removed his Storage tubes out of his Champion and the sure took up a lot less space and cut out the tangles. It will also save rod guides by being caught in the tubes

1. Thank you Big Mike for the kind words and the word of mouth!

2. Papa, thank you for your dedication to my fellow Veterans, your continued support of our product, and the kind words!

3. Fishkiller, your order either should have arrived or will be shortly. Thank you!

4. Sooner Fan, Thank you for your order and small Rod Locker! smile

5. Coast Tackle, I have received a lot of feedback regarding the tubes. A lot of customers leave the sox in the tube when they pull out their rods...when they put them up, they just grab the end of the Sox and slid it back into the Sox therefore back into the tube. This protects the eyes on your rods.

Thanks Guys!

I have used many other brands of rod covers. Rodsox are the best of any that I have used. Rodsox are made for std, micro, and spinning rods. The freight is cheap, they protect your rod and eyes.

Good luck taking the tubes out of that Ranger. The tubes are surrounded with foam. You will be digging for a while and make quite a mess not to mention the time it will take.
