Today’s trip began at 6:30 AM with light winds and overcast skies and finished up at 11:00 AM. Air temperature was 72 degrees with a water temperature of 64 degrees. Started by pitching a jig in area 017, however I was unable to produce any fish. Switched to a shallow running crankbait and on my 3rd cast hooked into and landed a 2lbs smallmouth. Pitched back to the same spot and landed another smaller Smallmouth. It was clear after that today’s pattern was going to be a shallow running crankbait, fished in shallow water. Moved to area 018 and landed 3 more Smallmouth and one White. On today’s outing all my fish came on a shallow running crankbait in the sexy shad pattern.
